Cliff was born on September 9, 1944, the son of Fred and Rosalie (Wright) Yaw. After graduating from Trumansburg High School in 1962, Clifford joined the United States Navy where he served for several years until being honorably discharged. Cliff owned and operated his well drilling business, Yaw's Well Drilling, for many years. He enjoyed serving his community as a member of the Hector Town Board for numerous years. A jack of all trades, Cliff could work on and fix anything; he was always our 'go to guy' when it came to fixing computers. He enjoyed spending time outdoors camping, hunting and fishing. He also enjoyed playing euchre and making fudge by his "scientific method". He could be found Saturday and Sunday morning's at Falls Restaurant having breakfast with the "Men's Coffee Club." Cliff was an all-round good man who loved his family, friends and community. The family would like to extend their sincere appreciation and gratitude to the staff of both the Upstate Medical Center in Syracuse and the Living Center South in Geneva for their care during these past two years, as well as the emergency department of the Cayuga Medical Center at Ithaca.
