of Trumansburg, NY, passed away peacefully, at home, surrounded by family and friends on the 17th of July, 2019 at 57 years of age.

Bonnie was a devoted daughter, mother, wife, sister, aunt, grandmother and friend who will be sorely missed by all whose lives were touched by her presence.

Bonnie was predeceased by her father, Robert “Bobby” Joseph, step-father, James “Joe” Osgood, and dear pets Doyle and Darla Mae. Bonnie is survived by her mother, Carol Osgood; husband, Richard Everts; children, Kendall (Kirsten) Hazelton, Patrick (Janelle) Hazelton; stepdaughter, Tyler Everts; grandchildren, Atticus and Reese Hazelton, Darrin Hazelton; siblings, Michael Joseph, Lori (Leonard Clement) Joseph, Anthony Joseph, Cathy (Phillip) Stilwell; nephews and nieces, Anthony (Samantha) Haynes, Mackenzie (Eric) Marsh, Madalyn (Robert) Jay, Meredith Stilwell; great-nephews and great-nieces, Madylynn English, Carson Haynes, and Bristol Marsh; her most loyal guardian, K9 Charles “Chuck” Cornelius, who never left her side; a large extended family and countless friends who she felt were family; and her guardian angels, Robin Caywood and Bonnie Young.

Bonnie was born January 19th, 1962 in ­­­­Ithaca, New York. She graduated from Charles O. Dickerson High School with the class of 1980. After graduating, she moved to Albany, NY before moving to Bradenton, FL in 1985. While in Florida, she gave birth to her two sons, who she loved dearly. Bonnie returned to her hometown of Trumansburg in 1995 where she spent several years working at the local grocery. Bonnie’s cherished career at Cayuga Medical Center began in 2001. Bonnie married her beloved husband, Rick, August 12th, 2006 in Trumansburg. They shared a wonderful life together filled with love and laughter.

Bonnie was the epitome of a dedicated employee and insisted on spending all of her days working at CMC. She had an astounding network of co-workers who will always remember her infectious laugh and smile that could light the darkest room. Bonnie placed the care and comfort of each and every patient above her own. She earned the Lifetime Achievement Award for her commitment to service and excellence.

When Bonnie was not at work, she enjoyed the warmth of the sun and company of her dear dogs and cat. She spent countless hours riding motorcycle with her husband and friends, and was always looking forward to the next sunny day when she could relax on the deck.

Bonnie will be forever remembered for the sparkle in her bright blue eyes and the warmth of her open arms. Her kindness and nurturing quality will be recollected for years to come.

Bonnie’s family and friends will gather to celebrate her life on Sunday, August 11th from 1:00pm to 5:00pm, at the Trumansburg Golf Course and welcome visitors.
