Klaus Adie - Class Of 1963

Klaus Adie, a member of the Class of 1963, passed away October 27, 2019, unexpectedly while undergoing a routine surgery, at the age of 74. He leaves behind an enormous network of friends and extended family who have all come to see him as a shining light in their lives. No one left his presence without feeling like a friend for life. He was truly a man of great love, character, generosity and intellect. Give you the shirt off his back, quick to smile, rally support and plan ideas to help others create a way out of any mess or discomfort. His lifer status in the USCG gave him an even greater platform on which to offer ever more to humanity for the common good. He was a one-of-a-kind who flourished in the love of those around him. May his light continue to shine and illuminate the way for us all and may you rest in forever peace, dearest Klaus. You are already missed terribly, your sister, Louise Adie.
Klaus leaves behind his wife, Charlotte, son Brad (Cyndy) and grandson Justin; Stacy Skipper, husband David, their two children, Matthew and Katie; closest friend Rick and wife Elaine (Charlotte's sister), many, many close family members and an extensive network of friends made while he was Commander in the USCG. Friends for life. You left us too soon, Brother Klaus.

I just read the obituary of Klaus Adie by his sister Louise, posted here 'In Memory'.  The world has lost another wonderful person.  I had a very special relationship with Klaus and he truly was an honorable person. Kind, funny, intelligent, generous and patient are a few adjectives describing his character.  He will be missed by many, but forever in our hearts.   Condolences to his family and friends.
