Survived By: David is survived by his wife of 46 years Kathryn L McDougal; three children, Jerry A. (Angela) McDougal of San Jose, CA, Teresa L. (Bill) Heselden of Pompey, NY, Alison L. (Josh) Distenfeld of Oxford, PA; 10 grandchildren; Nicole, Gracie, and Jack McDougal; Katie, Billy, Tori, and Ryan Heselden; Maddie, Sophie and Kainoa Distenfeld; and sister Connie (Peter) Froschauer.

David A. McDougal, of Bridgeport, passed away on Sunday after a valiant battle with cancer at the age of 67. Born in Albany, NY on March 7, 1944, son of the late Gerald (Cal) and Ethel McDougal, Dave graduated from Trumansburg High School, Paul Smith's College with a degree in Forestry and then continued his education at North Carolina State. He retired from CNS School District in 2010 after 10 years of service and from Agway Inc. in 1997 after serving for more than 35 years in many management positions. He was a founding member of Liverpool High School Senior Daze, Operation Cooperation, and Liverpool Alive where he chaired from 1986 � 1993. Dave was a life member of the Stony Brook Club and served on the Board of Directors for many years. He was also a member of the Sylvan Falls, Beach Creek and Mad River Clubs. David is survived by his wife of 46 years Kathryn L McDougal; three children, Jerry A. (Angela) McDougal of San Jose, CA, Teresa L. (Bill) Heselden of Pompey, NY, Alison L. (Josh) Distenfeld of Oxford, PA; 10 grandchildren; Nicole, Gracie, and Jack McDougal; Katie, Billy, Tori, and Ryan Heselden; Maddie, Sophie and Kainoa Distenfeld; and sister Connie (Peter) Froschauer. Funeral Service: Sunday, at 1:00 pm at Northminster Presbyterian Church, 7444 Buckley Road, North Syracuse. Calling Hours: Saturday, 4 to 7 p.m. at Traub Funeral Home, 7975 Rt. 31, Bridgeport.
