I'm not sure of Jimmy's birthday but know he was born in 1942. He had one of the first open heart operations. The surgeon told my mother that even though they lost Jimmy during the surgery, they learned much about open heart surgery. Jimmy was in the FFA, and proud to wear his FFA jacket. He was looking forward to getting his driver's license, when the doctor who gave him a physical discovered a heart problem. Jimmy was the seventh of eight children; I was the eighth. |
