After graduating from the College of Wooster in Ohio, I worked for two years at a facility for the retarded in Ohio. This was followed by two years as a partner in a small country store in New Hampshire. Then I attended Georgetown University Law Center, and received my law degree in 1983. I practiced law in Washington D.C. from 1983 to 1987; in Pasadena, California from 1987 to 1990; in Ft. Smith, Arkansas from 1990 to 1995; and in Los Angeles from 1995 to 2013. I retired from full-time practice in 2013, but have continued to work part time.
I have been fortunate to do a significant amount of travel, and have been to about 50 countries.
